Four Weeks
I have 4 weeks until i finish school forever.
As a child, 4 weeks until the end of the year was nothing.
All we had to worry about was getting up on time, and getting to school,
to wait the time out till we could do whatever we liked.
But now, these last 4 weeks of school are so much harder, longer and busier.
I have only 4 assessment tasks, yet they’re all rather hard to start.
I know it’s almost all over, and that these last assignments aren’t the end of the world,
But they’re sure taking over it.
Lately, in fact, the last 2 years of college, I haven’t been able to relax a single day.
The world relax is a dirty, guilt filled word.
Every time you try to relax, you remember all the things you ‘should’ be doing.
And therefore, relaxing is impossible.
The responsibility of the assignment looms over you, like a threatening storm cloud,
and if you don’t just deal with it soon, it’ll rain all over you and make your walk even worse.
I’m so fed up with school, work and sometimes even family and friends.
When this year is over, perhaps i should go get a massage and, dare i say it… relax.
